Modular shelving for the win (living room)This is something that all homeowners can never say no to — more storage! If you need more storage in your home, make good use of the vertical space beside bay windows and build a shelf!
Modular shelving systems bring flexibility to your home as they can change and adapt with your needs. Whether you’re renting, have children’s toys to put away or just enjoy switching up room layouts every now and then, modular shelving will easily disassemble, reassemble and reconfigure. The units can be stacked or connected to produce various shelving arrangements. Building a bench for extra seating space (bedroom and dinning)
Other than a comfortable relaxing spot, a bench can serve as many other things, for e.g. sample: Fish enthusiasts can add a classy aquarium into the space to have a calming effect. Even when you don’t have guests, you can sit and gaze at the fishes. Or, your desk can be built in such a way as though it an extension of the bay bench, that way you get a desk with a view. Sleep on a pedestal (bedroom)
Do up a made up or vanity table (bedroom)
Scale it accordinglyFurniture for the small space is all about proportions. Simply put, all you need to avoid is piece brushes up against the boundaries of the room, either up and down or sideways, if that’s the case, the furniture itself is too large. To create a sense of roominess, always leave a little air in between the sides of your furniture and the walls. Also avoiding heavy, weighty pieces that eat up too much of the usable space in the room can go a long way. Reducing the size of furniture can also lessen your cognitive load of taking in all things at once, and make you feel more at peace. For example, a sleek sofa or chair will give you as much sitting room as its overstuffed cousin but will take up much less of your room. If you long for a large, statement piece (a piece of art or mirror), hang it on the wall. Don’t consume valuable floor and walking space by putting it on the floor. Furniture that is lower to the ground will create a feeling of openness in a room simply by the fact that they leave more open space and breathing room above them Mirror, mirror on the wall (Bathroom)
